I know not everyone will agree with me, because the UK as a whole is becoming like the US and demand that someone else(the government) does something about it (and in some cases this isn't even possible), instead of doing something about it ourselves. Here is what I think. Ok, after the suicide of a child children, after being cyber bullied on the Ask.fm site, everyone is now up in arms and demanding the government does something. Someone's created a petition asking the government to "to step in and insist that Ask.fm and similar sites help us protect our young people" However this will only be asking the site to develop a better moderation system on posts. but moderation won't stop the problem of people posting horrible comments, it will just increase the chance of these comments being removed quicker. if they remove anonymous posting and require you to sign up it will only ban the user until they create a new username under another email.
